What is Xeomin®?
Xeomin is an injectable neuromodulator treatment used to smooth lines and wrinkles in the upper face. Like Botox, Xeomin is formulated with botulinum toxin type A, which works by blocking nerve signals to muscles, preventing them from contracting.

Xeomin can also be used to smooth lines around the eyes such as crow’s feet, as well as other small wrinkles in the upper face.
What to Expect During Treatment
To begin treatment, Dr. Skura will cleanse the skin of the treatment area. A small needle will then be used to inject the Xeomin into the specified areas. The number of injections will vary depending on the size of the treatment area. The injection process is usually quick and can take as little as 15 minutes to complete.
Xeomin® Aftercare
There is no downtime needed following Xeomin treatment, so you can return to your regular activities as soon as you feel comfortable. However, you may experience mild redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. It is advised that you avoid vigorous exercise or activity for 4-6 hours after the procedure, as well as alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours for optimal results. It is also important that you sleep on your back for the first night after treatment, as sleeping on your face may cause the medication to migrate.
Results will not be seen immediately after treatment but should be reached within 10-14 days. Xeomin usually lasts for 3 months, depending on the area the product was used. To maintain results, you will need to schedule repeat treatments.
